Avoiding Busy Times

Summer - busiest season for movers.

Month End - the beginning and end of months are busier than mid-month.

Weekends - Saturdays and Sundays are busier than Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Evenings - may cost more than service during business hours.

Consecutive Days - services are scheduled on any of the several consecutive days agreed upon before  move.

Expedited Service - costs more.  Try to avoid requiring pickup or delivery on a specific day.

Giving your mover several consecutive days on which your goods can be loaded and another  set of dates - several consecutive days - on which your goods can be unloaded at your new home gives your mover  flexibility and saves you money.   Expedited services scheduled for specific days will cost you more.  You may find that a personal day off from your work can save you money.
